Paris Destination Photoshoots

July 07, 2019

Paris in early June was balmy and magical--and a lot of work! We got up early every morning, and arrived at our location by 6 a.m. in order to capture the best light and beat the crowds. On Day 1, we met at the Luxembourg Gardens where we shot in front of the palace and then on the streets and sidewalks around the garden. On Day 2, we explored the Louvre grounds where I loved playing with backgrounds: arches, pyramids, iron railings and French Renaissance architecture. Our Day 3 location, the pièce de résistance, was the iconic Eiffel Tower, where at that early hour we were one of about a dozen photoshoots happening around the Trocadero. But there were plenty of spots to take beautiful portraits with that classic background, and by 9 a.m. the sun was bright and we were done and ready for brunch and sightseeing. Destinations photoshoots are a great way to both explore a city in a new way and make beautiful keepsake photographs. They are perfect for senior portraits, graduations, engagements, weddings, family get-togethers, and any excuse we can come up with. I've only been home a couple of weeks, but I'm ready to pack my passport and my gear and go again!
