Author HeadshotsAuthors need headshots for book jackets, websites, social media, and marketing materials. I'm also an author, and I remember getting professional headshots for my first book. I did not love the idea of posing in front of the camera, but the photoshoot was relaxed and easy so I survived! It's important to me that my portrait clients are comfortable and relaxed and that they have a positive experience. To help with this, I provide several tips for preparing for a photoshoot, and we talk ahead of time about expectations for the shoot and for the finished product. I really enjoy meeting new people and getting to know them a bit while we work on getting the best images we can. This studio photoshoot was especially fun because Will has a wry sense of humor and his wife Susan was a great stylist assistant! In a half-hour we got over a dozen images to chose from, some of which he'll use to promote his book. I'm happy to be part of his team!
