Portrait Session in San Francisco

January 05, 2020

I chose The Presidio for Meredith's San Francisco photo session because of the range of backdrop options all from one spot. We met next to Chrissy Field with the bay and the Golden Gate Bridge in view. For one look, I wanted to get a hint of the bridge and the iconic red-roofed buildings on the former US Army airfield. Meredith is a teacher, principal, and author so I wanted the first backdrop to mimic a quaint school house in San Francisco...

From this spot we also had fun with some walking shots, which always get my clients laughing and relaxed.

Next we crossed the street and made portraits using a large bush for a natural leafy background...

...and then used the wall of the old Stilwell Hall for our white backdrop.

In less than an hour, with two outfit changes on a chilly winter morning, we got a ton of images for her to market her brand and her upcoming book!
